Hi, you are very early days, I had a total gastrectomy 11 years ago and had those feelings of sickness and bile quite a lot, it's fairly normal. I hve been taking Domperidone 10mg tablets 1 x twice daily and Omeprazole 20mg 1 x twice daily these changed to 1 x daily Esomeprazole 20mg, the feeling of sickness and bile does get better but it is something one has to learn to live with. Not lying flat helps so use extra pillows or do what I did eventually get an adjustable bed so can raise the back of the bed sleeping in a more upright position, there are various aids you can get for more upright sleeping. I suffer with swallowing issues still and regurgitation of food and everyone is different. I am 85 in September and happy to suffer the issues I have following stomach cancer and to still be here over 11 years later is pretty marvelous

2 years post op I still feel queasy at times and each morning when I wake. I’ve found it’s linked to hunger ( not a sensation I get anymore) so eating gets rid of it. Little and often is key. Best wishes x
