Hi - I have an almost identical question. I lost about two-thirds of my head hair after my second round of pre-operative chemo (FLOT), then nothing more. When chemo stopped so that I could have surgery, my hair started to regrow. I am now having four more rounds of chemo and I would like to know whether to expect further hair loss.

My experience on a similar FLOT-Suregery-FLOT protocol was yes. Hair loss second time around was worse (almost everywhere) but 2 years on it’s back. Good luck. Tanktank

My hair did fall out again and then came back again. I was prepared the 2nd time and shaved it off soon after I started chemo.

Likewise - time to get the shears out again! LOL, I'm actually less prepared this time than the first. It's only in the past week that I've realized how much my hair has regrown. And I was so hoping I would be able to keep it!

I had something called the cold cap, a bit like strapping freezing cold ice bags to your head, and didn't lose my hair at all. Good luck! Angi x

Hi Telford-hiker,

I’m sure everyone is different but I lost my hair during my first 4 rounds of FLOT pre-surgery but didn’t lose it all on the final 4 rounds after surgery. My hair did really thin out and I lost hair all over my body including beard and eyebrows but luckily kept some on my head. Nothing a nice cap couldn’t hide.

My last round was 23 December and by March it had all grown back albeit my hair is now super curly which it never was before - but still as warm 😁

The only thing that has never fully grown back is my eyebrows but I can live with that.

Good luck - it will all be worth it 👍🏼
