dumping syndrome
Have a look at my post re dumping syndrome and Acarbose
Hi,
Dumping can be a problem but normally reduces in frequency in time.
Being 13 years out I can tell what foods are likely to set it off now.
Keep a record of what you have eaten just before an episode and see if there is any foods that do set it off.
Cooled boiling water does work as well.
Do speak to your medical team as they can advise and prescribe medication that will help,
Beware of any over the counter products as can they react to or reduce the effectiveness of the PPI and any other prescribed medication and always speak to you consultant before taking.
Have you changed a routine or are you eating more and moving around more, it tends to happen when you change something or as your gut improves and starts working again. It normally settles down fairly quickly. Keep an eye on which foods or actions make it happen. I am 10 years on and eating over Christmas has messed things up again. If it really persists do check with the doc Have a great 2020
Good advice from others here. I am 10 years post op too and occasionally still have dumping. It usually happens if I eat too much or have too many sweet things with a morning cuppa. A change in routine can have an effect too. I now avoid drinking alcohol when out for a meal too but still enjoy a small wine or prosecco at home! Do as they say in other replies and keep a check on what causes it Good luck
