Yes I still had a stitch visible on last endoscopy that was a year after. Take eating slowly and chew everything. Even 3 and half years after if i rush eating i get problems.

Good Luck

Sometimes food is slow moving through. The gut has to learn how to work again, after the op it’s mainly gravity that moves food through. If I ate or drank too much it was a bit like the feeling of you put 2 fingers down your throat it made me throw up but I felt much better after. They said I should graze and move around a bit. I also had some medicine domperigon I think that helped move food through.

Thanks for replying I was given Creon's to help absorb nutrients but i.m now getting diarrhoea so i.ve stopped taking them i.ve also gone on lactose free milk but it's all trial and error I seem to have an upset stomach quite a lot but can't pinpoint what's causing it has anyone any ideas because i.m nervous going out in case i.m not near a toilet 😀

maybe try just grazing or nibbling eating small amounts for a while. I used to take Creon, it is a digestive enzyme that’s helps you to absorb fat. I was told to take it after the first mouthful of food as it had to be with the food and not follow it. Also to take it with apple sauce or something similar. Depending on how much you took stopping that might have made a difference. When I change my routine ie go away for a few days, even now I get an upset tummy while it adjusts to things. I also if it keeps cramping take codeine phosphate just one or two which seem to put things right. Do get in touch with your CNS if things persist.

You are doing well it’s still early days.

Cheers Lizzy

Hi There,

I had the same problem and was prescribed codeine phosphate in conjunction with loperamide. This worked very well at solving the problem. I wouldn't stop taking the creon though it will help your digestion after the IL

Good Luck
