Has anyone tried slippery elm powder for acid reflux or inflammation?

Does it work well?

Yes, I tried it a few years ago, since I read somewhere that it was good for soothing the digestive system. I found it difficult to mix into an emulsion, tasted bad and, at least in my case, had no effect. But equally it didn't do me any harm. I have never heard of it being recommended for reflux.

Yes; I find it helpful for protecting the throat. I use Slippery Elm capsules and twist them open. I then stir the powder into yoghurt. Hope it helps you.

Yes I tried and it didn’t help my reflux. Maybe it’s because my hiatal hernia is probably the cause. It’s supposed to calm and heal the gut lining so can’t do any harm and worth a try.
