Yes also the the same goes for Bruce Millar and Haward as anyone heard or seen comments from these guys ? Their excellent advice,experiences and comments are sadly missed

I miss the down to earth sensible comments from gutlesswonder and the others, brought some sanity to the site. Perhaps the administrators can help.

Hi Cathbatley,

Haward was on the administration staff at the OPA based in Solihull Birmingham! Perhaps we can get some input from someone there👍?

Haward resigned from his role with the OPA last year. As far as I know he still involved in his local support group. But I agree with the other comments his input into the site is greatly missed

Hi Phil,

Thanks for your reply.I hope he is well. I met Hayward in October 2015 at the autumn meeting of the OPA in Birmingham, one month before my IL procedure at Stoke.He was very supportive at the time and I have spoken to him at the meetings since.

Does anybody know what’s happened to BRUCE MILLAR ? He was a “font” of information! I have never met him .But I Hope he is well. Thanks again Phil-Best regards

Hi Caroig

No Gutlesswonder had a vast knowledge of this disease as I think he had this operation over 20 years ago. My Oesophagectomy was 13 years ago and he has responded to many of my concerns over the years. The other very knowledgeable member was Alan Moss but I think he stopped posting because of some conflict with the OPA but im not sure. You can always contact Gutlesswonder with a private message and see if you get a response.

Hi Phil I have sent two private messages with no response so I look like hoping gastro have some answers for me on weds, the back of my throat is constantly full of mucus 24/7 it’s driving me insane I’m vomiting it up every day no cough at all I have to wretch or suck it’s soul destroying and can become so painful everyone just keeps passing the book, it’s reflux it’s chest it’s sinus all I know is it’s ruining what pathetic life I have sorry for ranting but thanks for replying xx
