I have problems swallowing even liquids because of foam in my esophagus. Any tricks to get past this barrier?

Have you had an endoscopy to find out what's causing it?

Have you tried sipping something very fizzy, like coke? I used to get foam in my throat, and coke was the only thing that helped me. But if you can't drink at all, then that's not going to help you. Sorry, I can't think of anything else.

Hi my husband had this before he was diagnosed , they put NG tube in for feeding and it stopped the foam . Hope this helps .

I would speak to your specialist nurse. There is medication that can deal with this, I believe. Also worth a check to make sure about whether it might be thrush / candidiasis.

I would try bicarbonate of soda in a soft drink. I had this foam. If it is very slimy and seems to stretch forever it is very likely to be stomach lining. Good luck
