Yes, I have a small 13mm nodule on my lower left lung, which was discovered quite by accident following an X-ray for something else. In view of my history of oesophageal cancer, my case was discussed by the MDT (multi-disciplinary team), who decided to refer me for a PET scan. When this came back negative (i.e. no sign of cancer), I was given the choice of either having it monitored or surgically removed. My consultant advised monitoring and, consequently, I had three CT scans at six monthly intervals. These showed no change in the nodule over a two year period and I was therefore signed off. It causes me no pain or discomfort and the likelihood is that I've had it for years.
