Durolane or Hyalauronic Acid injection- can it make your pain worse?

Hi everyone with osteoarthritis in their knees.

I’d be grateful to know if anyone has had a negative experience after having Hyalauronic Acid/Durolane injections in their knee? For instance, did it make your pain worse instead of better?

I’ve had an MRI scan and seen a consultant privately. I’d really appreciate hearing from you as I’m a little scared to take this step. (No pun intended).

Thanks everyone.

Had 5 shots of Hyaluronic acid. Didn't help as much as I had hoped. Might have taken down the pain 10%. I had previously done PRP which also helped somewhat-maybe about 20% pain relief. The only thing that actually made me walk normally again was cortisone, but since cortisone makes things worse in the long run, I am not going in that direction for relief right now.
