Exercise 'regime'

I had OA of the knees diagnosed about 12 years ago and it comes and goes. Last week I injured my knee walking on some uneven paving. Pain was bad, but cocodamol now working on that. My question is - what is a good daily exercise regime to re build strength and movement. Things like what do do first thing, before bed, number of reps and times per day Thank you.

Hi, sorry to hear about your pain. i was diagnosed a few days ago. wondering has yours gotten worse since you were diagnosed? thanks

I was diagnosed 12 years ago. I go for long periods with no ill effects although the last 3 years have been more challenging. Every now and then I injure my knee (doesn't take much) and, like now, my knee is very painful and stiff with the Catch 22 situation of the more pain, the less exercise, the less exercise, the more pain. I hope you quickly find ways of managing your OA that will counteract the pain and allow you to move freelym

this is more a question for your physio, Polly. But why not ring one of the specialist charities such as Arthritis Action? They’d be able to give more targeted advice.
