Hi! I have been on meloxicam for several years. It is helpful with inflammation, soreness, stiffness etc. of joints. I still have these symptoms while taking the meloxicam so I began to wonder if this medication was even working for me. In order to determine this, I decided to stop taking it for a while and see what happens. Well, it didn't take long to get the answer. After 4 or 5 days, my symptoms began to increase and continued to increase in severity over the next few days. By the 10th day, I was miserable and COMPLETELY convinced of the effectiveness of the meloxicam and began taking it again. Within a few days, I was back to a manageable amount of discomfort. I have never experienced any side effects or problems with it and it is not expensive. If you are looking to try meloxicam, I would definitely recommend it. Not sure of other's experiences but my experience is absolutely positive.

Good luck and best wishes!

I was prescribed Mobic four years ago for debilitating knee osteoarthritis. I took it for about two weeks, decided it was doing nothing and stopped taking it.

Fast forward to March 2021 after taking Both Moderna Vaccinations which I believe caused a serious flare in BOTH knees. I was immobile.

I started taking the Mobic again, being short of options besides surgery. This time I gave it a longer time to work. Now, after four months of taking 15mg of Mobic daily, my knees feel fine.

I don't know about the long-term effects, but I would be very reluctant to stop taking it.
