Good post Nicholas, and definitely something that's very beneficial and well worth a read. I know from my own personal experiences just how much my joints stiffen up first thing in the morning's and from half hour onwards after finally collapsing on the sofa to chill out.. it's that "getting back up" for a bathroom visit or make a coffee" when my joints feel it badly too. I started doing a small amount of stretching in bed before I get up, and after collapsing on the sofa in the evenings, I stopped sitting with ankles and/or legs crossed, I raised and lower my legs every so often while watching a movie, wiggle the joints that hurt or ache the most.. I don't go all "disco moves on the sofa" :) but subtle enough so it doesn't ache like crazy when I do get up. Opinions, treatments and medications vary between doctors, so doing what we can to improve our own health and ease of movement can be hugely beneficial. Nicholas, I remember seeing the link you've shared some time ago in here, it's what got me moving in the first place, and wow do I notice the stiffness if I don't move. Great timing on putting this post up, moreso with colder weeks/months now here and pain levels increasing.
