I am 72 years old and have osteoarthritis, my knees have got so weak I cannot get up steps , I also have issues getting in and out of the shower and getting in and out of cars , thought about going to a orthopedic doctor to see if a brace or getting someone come in my home to show me the best way to get in and out of cars , safe ways to get in and out of cars , I also have a fear of falling
Thanks for your help and suggestions

I have a lot of problems with my knees and went to a physiotherapist who showed me some exercises which I did for a few months. My knees improved and I find if I do not do the exercises, the problems start again.
I also have an exercise bicycle which I try to use each day cycling approx 2 Km. I would certainly recommend the bike. It also is good all around exercise.
I am older than you at 75, almost 76 with very debilitating lung disease so have to keep on the move.
Good luck and it is well worth spending money on a private physio if the waiting list is too long on public one.
