Have been diagnosed with arthritis in the left knee which has bone spurs and in pain which is affecting the way my feet work when walking. No one seems to know why this feet thing is happening. Also affects my balance.

Hi, Did they tell you any specific kind of arthritis? Mine is osteoarthritis. Each kind is prob just as bad for that person. My right knee bothers me the most and very hard dealing with all my stairs where i live. Sometimes i wake up to knee pain in both knees.I walk with a limp now and am just in my fifties. Fatigue is a major issue also but I have other medical issues too..I don't see hardly anyone posting in this community one..Good luck and keep me posted on how your coping..One last thing you mentioned your balance. My deceased sister had multiple Sculrosis (walking and balance issues .Not to scare you but maybe u should ask if that is a possibility? Take care and hope to check in with you soon.

Thanks for a reply to my text.

My left knee was first to go, had aches et., and a little pain in it for easily 4 years . Then I had gone to bed and had a terrible cramp in it and in the morning i couldn’t move it and had to lift it out of bed and it wouldn’t bend!!!!!!There started a painful challenge!!!!!! That was in October of 2017. Got x-rayed and told it was degenerative damage to knee causing arthritis. So am in pain almost 24/7 but the worst is in bed at night. I cannot find a position that doesn’t jar my knees, because now it’s started in the other knee. I bought a knee support from Avtive 650 online and it is quite good for walking as in walking my little dog!! As soon as I finish walking him I take it off and put Ibuprofen gel on it. I have to use ibuprofen regularly so I have chosen the gel as opposed to orally as I am on Amlodipine and Bendroflumethiazide for high blood pressure. I hate the knee bit as when I put trousers on now

I am so aware of the swollen bulge of my knee and it’s making me not want to socialise. My balance problem I got told was the result of my feet arches.

So now I can’t wear pretty shoes

as I need the sides to support my feet and most casual shoes have gaps at the sides. So am reduced to wearing trainers mostly and

Velcro fastening shoes. I hope you have good days also and that you are managing your arthritis.

I had a fall and hurt my right shoulder and was refused an X-ray and offered physio then told it was burstitist, after 4 years I then got an X-ray and they said I was showing a fracture that must have happened years ago. !!!!! So have arthritis in that shoulder but can say it’s nothing as bad as my left knee. I hope now Spring is on its way you get out more. Best Wishes.
