I apologize for not responding to everyone's post. As the headline states, I was taken into hospital on Jan19th and I in 3 different hospital's before I came home. I don't know what happened, I wasn't allowed to get out of bed and apparently the doctor called my son and said he had to come to the hospital that they don't think I would make it into the next day. The only reason they came up with was the cause could be medications. They did a load of tests and the worst med was warfarin and I haven't to take it again.A specialist doctor changed the dose of some of my meds and replaced some of meds with new meds and deleted the rest.
I finally came home after weeks of rehab in 3 3hospitals and I am now having meals on wheels, carers, and physiotherapy at home My RA is so painful and I have so much pain especially in the morning, I see my family doctor in 4weeks to make sure I am ok . My worst problem now I am having to learn how to walk again and my legs especially are very week. I have had a occupational and physiotherapist came to see me To do assessments and I am doing mainly exercises to build up my strength.
Wish me luck I was told it will take at least 4months before I will get back to the way I was before I became seriously ill.
I hope everyone is enjoying the summer although I heard in the UK it is too hot right now. I was born in England but I live in Canada now. I am always interested in what is happening in the uk, I have family still living in England and 2 sister's that have RA.
Take care everyone, stay safe !!!!

I'm sorry to hear of your awful experiences and hope you are on the mend now. All you can do is to do the excercises from the physio and your muscles will strengthen. It may take a while but you will get there. Wishing you well
I am so sorry you have been experiencing such a difficult time and are in so much pain. I hope you get the right medication sorted soon and start to feel better. Sending love and hugs.
What a dreadful experience for you, it must have been so worrying for you and your family. I'm glad to hear you're back home now and I hope your recovery goes really well and that you go from strength to strength. xx
Oh Sue, you’ve been through it, & pleased to hear you're now home, albeit with work to do. Hopefully that's the last you'll see of the hospitals for a long while, as an inpatient anyhow. Take good care for now. x
I’m so glad you’re back at home after such an ordeal must have been awful but isn’t medical science a wonder these days that you can recover from such a really bad illness to get back home to your family. I know it’s easy to say but you’ll get there with the physio even if it takes some time and a lot of effort on your part. Take good care of yourself and I hope you improve daily. As a side note it’s 32* in the shade presently and due to get to about 38 later. We aren’t used to these temperatures in the UK but it’s reminiscent of 1976 which I remember well.
How awful for you! It is especially hard to have a lot of pain when it is so hot! I find ice is my best friend when I am in pain. I have three gel ice packs that I rotate out of my freezer. I even take one to bed with me at night!I hope each day brings you closer to feeling better!
Thank you to everyone I really appreciated all your comments 💗 it helps me such a lot.I am thinking of all of you drink lots of water and try to keep yourselves cool. We have a weather alert and for those who are elderly to stay home. I'm lucky that I live in the basement of the house which is cool.
I am doing my exercises as I really need to get the strength back in my legs. My physiotherapist is coming at 10am and then the carer comes between 11am and 1pm. They were coming for 6 visits a week, now it's 3 times a week. I have improved but I am paying privately for carers to come on the 3 days the other company doesn't come. The therapist at hospital rehab said it will take me at least 4months to get the strength back in my legs. That is why I have to keep doing the exercises. Plus my apartment is huge so walking around with my walker is helping me too.
I had better say bye for now, take care everyone, stay safe and thank you again for being so kind. xx
