I’m looking for some help from you all. I seem to just ride the most recent pain in my lower right back, and my right side of neck, it is troubling me hugely. My lower back is bad enough but the neck pain….It’s radiating from my neck, into the base of my skull, turning my head is bothersome and painful. It’s every day, and doesn’t go away. I seem to be one sided RA, and it was always my wrist, shoulder, elbow and hip but this new lot of aches is doing my head in…..literally. I want to try to understand, is this my RA? I’m finding my RA team pushy for me to accept steroid injections, which I refuse, I take a biological, and DMARDS, and mtx so I’m reluctant to do the old steroid stuff! My CRP is now very controlled, so why have a always got god darn pain? Is it wrong for me to ask my GP for a scan of my back and neck, to see if anything shows? Thanks for any replies that can guide me 🙏

Hello, I have AS and neck and lower back pain are classic signs of AS. You should push for blood tests and a scan to check for this for sure I’m on imraldi to help suppress the condition. Best of luck as I know it can be a slow and painful process
Thanks for your reply, and I am having bloods done on Monday for exactly what you note….. GP seemed to think that was best action too…..the gift that keeps on giving. I hope you are doing ok with it all
