Anyone had muscle atrophy to only one side of body?

All of my conditions are in my bio…. About a month ago, I noticed that I was losing muscle mass (from a special scale at Dr office) on the left side of body. It is also getting more noticeable during exercise too (obviously). It seems to be accelerating a bit. The rheumatologist and neurologist aren’t quite sure what could be causing it. Has anyone else had this occur when it wasn’t related to nutrition, stroke, etc?

Thanks in advance!

I'm sorry to hear that's happening, but I can't think of any cause or remedy - sorry! It does seem very bizarre unless related to the condition of your nervous system . Have you seen the neuromuscular specialist yet?

The only time I got this was when specific areas of my body were really sore for prolonged periods! I lost alot on my right quad due to limping and dragging my leg constantly, and my right shoulder from inactivity 😊

I have a similar problem, in my case it is on the right side, every time I have asked about it with GP and several consultants they just change the subject. I visit my GP this afternoon and the head of the cardiology department at local Hospital on Thursday when I’ll ask again.

Unfortunately we do sometimes need to be very assertive in appointments…. Hope it goes well x
