This definitely sounds promising. I think we all need some good news for a change. Thank you Moomin8.

Hi Moomin, it’s great news that meds are being identified in this way and that lady looks so well. 😍 Made a huge different to her breathing it said. It seems to make a lot of sense I agree. I am not sure those patients who recently had infusions of something like Rituximab that stay in the system quite some months or other RA monthly/two monthly infusions would be allowed Tociliz. Who knows, but it’s brilliant if it’s working in people such as that lady whose smile says it all. Hopefully we will identify more drugs which can help in this way. ❤️

Fabulous news , I'm on both but it seems for the study it only kicks in if you are poorly with covid then are given them. My hope is they get an antiviral capsule such as tami flu that can treat it, only problem with that is the asymptomatic cases I suppose . But many huge strides xxx

Hi yes I heard that too. I wasn't sure though whether the drug mentioned is one of the anti TNF ones? However, when I last had a tel. consultation with my rheumatologist back in November and i was expressing reservations about going back on to anti TNF, he said to bear in mind that the 'drug they are starting to use to treat bad cases of Covid in hospital, is an anti TNF type one', and that although anti TNF wouldn't prevent you getting Covid, it would probably give some protection against developing more serious complications.

Hi, as far as I know, yes - it is the same drug. However, I think it was given as an intravenous drip - I can't be 100% sure though.
