Give yourself a big hug whilst you are there. X
Big hugs darling. Now the cuddle is over now put those big girl pants and tell the world i am not going to let you get me down and then put a big smile on your face my darling.xxxx
Don’t be too hard on yourself! Take care and when you have finished with the big girl pants can I borrow them? 😉
Here's something to cheer you up after you have given yourself the hugs already prescribed.
I have a young cockapoo and whilst throwing her ball around the garden yesterday, the ball landed in a very large box hedge, no less that 6' wide and 12' long. I thought nothing of it as it normally falls through onto the ground, so got on with the job in hand. An unusual rustling sound made me turn around to see my 10Kg pups dancing around on top of this 5' high hedge in search of her ball. It took me a little while to grasp what she was doing and was astounded that she didn't just disappear into its depths. Needless to say I lifted her to safety. A lesson in determination and a lesson to me in knowing that there are no boundaries in her quest for a ball and to keep a camera to hand. You got to love them. Hope this picture makes you smile and that your day improves.
I think it's quite normal to feel over emotional right now. The world has turned upside down. I was struck the other day by how beautiful, fresh the landscape near me looked. And by the recovery of nature - also how blooming sad it all was.
Be kind to yourself.
I was impressed that you had a retreiver cockatoo chasing a ball ..........then I read it again........
Gail- I think a lot of emotions are coming with COVID and just the general feeling of isolation. I have just written to my work team saying use the furlough time to do things you always put off doing because of time. I sent them a poem too and told me challenge yourself everyday!
It can be simple pleasures from baking a cake to shredding all that paper clutter or pottering in the garden or just a phone call.
Find something to make you smile sending hugs x
Like others I get it.
Keep talking and there will be some who will get the same as you . Be nice to yourself.

Hello Gail, As others have said please don't be hard on yourself this is un chartered waters we are sailing into and I think we all in our own way are trying to deal with this unknown. I've mentioned it in my posts before but never has there been a time when I have reached so much into my Mary Poppins bag of coping techniques and as we speak I too am delving into it's corners as I'm not feeling too great today. My body is on a go slow and my mind doesn't realise this. So I think a gentle start is in order and I think for you too. I can hear the birds singing clearer than ever today, so I may just don my coat and soak a few minutes up of their sweet singing....even if it is cold out there! So take heart and let's do this together, we can get through this whatever it is, keep strong and focused and greet each day as it comes no harsh expectations just be in the moment and do small manageable things which bring contentment, happiness or a sense of achievement. Sending some comforting wishes. Pip x
Aww, so sorry that you feel that way. Remember that you make people happy here with your posts and pictures and hope that cheers you a little. Thank you for the lovely picture. xx
My anxiety sends to be at night, strange x
Big hugs and I’m in good spirits when the sun shines and hear the birds singing xxx
Hello Gail, hope you are getting through the day as best as, I just wanted to send a little ode I've written for you.
If you're down and feeling blue,
Here's a little poem from me to you,
As the posts you send bring us cheer,
Help brighten the day I'm sure that's clear.
So when you're down and feeling in pain,
Just think of sunshine that comes from summerrain.
