I need to slowly wean off 5 mg prednisone, which I have been taking for 1 month.

Your doctor should have given you a prescription which gives details of how much, and for how long, and should say if you need to wean off the drug. If not ask your pharmacist. We don't know if there's anything special about your medical history that means you need to take it slow, as often 5mg for a month doesn't need a taper.

You really need to ask your primary carer, or the initial prescriber. We're not medically trained & whilst we are prescribed prednisolone tapers differ depending on individual circumstances. Usually a months course wouldn't necessarily need to be tapered but as you specify you need to slowly taper 5mg after only being on them a month it's important you receive the correct advice.
