New to site. Was truly diagnosed with RA last week by my rheumatologist. After being tossed back and forth between GP and ortho last 4 months. Got blood test done few backs having a RF factor of 68.7.
Rheumatologist did some additional blood test which was called back today to discuss findings. Shows have findings of Wegener’s disease but no per say symptoms of it yet. Wants to monitor me closely and repeat blood test in 3 weeks with different lab source.
Have started on MTX, folic acid, pretisone last Friday. No side effects except really tired.
Current pain issues :
Swollen left foot Achilles’ tendon
Right foot totally out pain and tender. Ortho diagnose of Severe Plantars Faciatis and OS pernoeum syndrome.
Both knees stiff and sore
Right hand middle and ring finger knuckles swollen and locked.
And now right hip tender.
Any advice or positive thoughts would help?

One of the things that comes across really strongly here is the length of time everything takes. To get a diagnosis, to find a treatment that is suitable for you, for the treatment to work, to organise your life differently, it all takes valuable time.
If you have any specific queries, have a look at the NRAS website - lots of reliable information there - or ask on here.
Remember too that the people who post most on here are the ones having problems. The majority who are just getting on with managing their condition and life, don't usually remember or feel inclined to say 'Hey guys, I'm doing really well on this medication'.
