I wonder if anyone can put some light on y latest flare up. My shoulders, neck and arms are so painful I can hardly move. Been looking online and the only thing I can find is brachial neuritis. Where the immune system attacks the nerves. Has anyone else had this, and is there anything I can do to relieve the pain.

Brachial Neuritis
My shoulders, neck and arms seize with excruciating pain and that usually was the 1st symptom of the all -over paralyzing inflammation. MTX was my miracle drug ( taking pain away within a week almost. ) but then eventually was knocked flat the days after the injection. I felt I needed a muscle relaxant for the initial shoulder pain but my insurance did not cover it. Do you feel inflammation in those areas, or a very painful "cramping? Just curious. Have you been diagnosed with RA? It does sound like what I experience...best of luck getting a better answer. 8080
Hi.I've been diagnosed with fibromaralgia and PSA. In methotrexate and yes consent pain swollen ankles fingers and hip's, knees, shoulders, elbows and back of my neck are stiff all the time.just been put up to 29mg methotrexate and still attending rheumatologist. Hope your feeling better soon x
I had a problem a few weeks ago where my right shoulder and referred pain put my right arm out of action. Asked doc for prednisolone (first time back on steroids since initial diagnosis). She gave me 4 weeks worth and it seems to have worked, pain all gone after just a few days and hasn't come back. So I hope you get similar results 😊.
I have started back on steroids for my shoulder like yourself. I am on 20mg of Prednisolone,. I am still in pain after 2 weeks of taking. What dosage did you go on. Any information I would be grateful for.
