We recently received a letter from a 8-year old girl ... - NRAS
We recently received a letter from a 8-year old girl called Hermione, whose grandmother has rheumatoid arthritis. Here's what she had to say
Oh bless her. What a kind sweet little girl, her grandmother must be SO proud of her.
Hope gran's sore fingers get better soon.
What a lovely thing for her to do! She must love her grandma very much & not like seeing her in pain.

Wow, firstly thank you for sharing that. I'm not sure which for me first, the tear in my eye or the heart warming feeling I got from reading the letter. What an amazing little girl. I'd have been blown away had that come to me.
In time I may not remember her name, but I doubt I'll ever forget such a touching letter.
Thank you.
Oh what a lovely tender and caring young girl Hermione is! If only more adults and the medical proffesion cared as much..........
I also had a similiar experience Wednesday this week, I couldn't bend my fingers or hold anything at all for the pain - but I did NOT take painkillers. Having had 3 foot operations over many years, yes I know about bone pain and it's the brain receptors transmitters that send, via the nerve conduits, the signals to the part of the body affected by pain!
Back to Weds - I drank 2 glasses of milk in the evening, slept well that night on my lounge bed settee , taking care not to move my hands or fingers more than I had to, to stop the pain or it woke me up if I did!
Thursday morning, my fingers were still stiff, although no pain from the nerves in them, but didn't feel well all day, slept more all afternoon and last night - this morning woke up feeling terrific by comparison. Been out shopping this afternoon, with a friend who took me, managed to lift heavy bags from trolley to her car, then back indoors.
No I can't explain that at All, other than to wonder if the milk I.e. Natural calcium from it played a part - if NOT - I have no answer either! I do have some other health issues, long term, that I don't believe played a part on Wednesday, again I don't know!
Such a wonderful, thoughtful thing to do. Thank you Hermione and remain as special and caring as you are 😌
Makes one feel very humble, the very best to them both.
How lovely.
I had a grandmother with rheumatoid arthritis and thought she was a bit standoffish. Now I know she had lots of pain and there were no clever drugs back then. Thank you for being so kind. I am sure you wil always be so kind. well done.
