Has anyone got some sure fire solutions for mouth ulcers and sores? Tried salt water/ulcer gels/anaesthetic throat sprays but still there!

Hi Beachy, I had a really bad crop of them when I was on MTX....like you I tried everything..only thing that worked for me was Corsydol...think that is the correct spelling. Used it as per instructions and brushing my teeth so many times during the day to make sure my mouth was as clean as possible
They are just horrible and make you feel so unwell....speaking and eating so painful.
I do hope you find some thing that works really quickly
Kate
For me the only thing that worked was Eludril - it's like the stuff dentists give you to rinse your mouth out and sold in most chemists. Also tried Aloe Vera juice, but found the taste rather weird and the effects rather short lived. But although the Eludril really helped, the best thing was switching from oral MTX to injections as haven't been plagued by them since. The drove me nuts, so much sympathy and hope you find something that works for you. Polly
Use can buy a tea tree mouth wash from some health stores, I Found this works.. tea tree is naturally antiseptic and anti fungal etc.. adcortyl in orabase used to be good sadly discontinued,, but orabase can be still obtained with out the adcortyl ( weak topical steroid!).. anbesol liquid can provide relief x
Thank you all for your super helpful replies! I'm going to be trying all of those suggestions!
