Using Serapeptase

Has anyone heard about the use of serapeptase to combat endometriosis?

Serrapeptase is an enzyme that chops up or digests protein. It is usually produced by bacteria in the gut of silkworms to digest their cocoons. This enzyme, when isolated and coated and put in tablet form has been found to be an anti-inflammatory and a pain-blocker. Some research has also found it to inhibit the build-up of plaque in arteries, hence helping to fight strokes and heart-attacks.

How it works?

Reduces inflammation by thinning fluids formed from injury and facilitating the fluid’s drainage and repair of tissue. It also inhibits the release of pain-inducing chemicals called bradykinin.

It breaks down protein by-products of blood coagulation called fibrin. It dissolves fibrin and other dead or damaged tissue without hurting living tissue. It dissolves non-living tissue such as blood clots, cysts and arterial plaque.

Serapeptase needs to be taken on an empty stomach.

I started taking Serepeptase after doing lots of research regarding its benefits. I am using a holistic approach so this is not the only thing I am doing. But I know I am definitely on the way to a pain-free life.

Before using any supplements. Please make sure you speak to a healthcare professional. Do not self-medicate without doing speaking to a healthcare profession and doing lots and lots of research.

Hi @Moonbeans, I haven't felt any intense pains. But sometimes I feel little pains in my abdomen. I also thought maybe it is the enzymes cleaning me up. I also find that I have this weird itch on my left big toe. I don't know if it is a side effect. No one else has mentioned this so not sure if it is something else. It isn't more than an infrequent bother though. I will keep using it to see what happens. I was told I have fibroid as well so around March i will request a scan and see what is going on. If you continue to feel pain, maybe stop it for a few days and see what happens. Also I have read that you shouldn't use it with blood thinners or fish oil. So maybe look into that as well. Let me know how you get on please. Would be good to share notes.

Take care xx

Hey thanks! 3weeks today and everythings going well! My pains have lessened over the last few days but i do feel some pressure every now and then. I am starting wobenzym today and will see how that helps too...it is kinda pricey though so I have ordered bromelain to use when done with the wobenzym. I am feeling really good! Hope your scan goes well!! Lets keep eachother updated! Cheers!!

That's amazing. I'm glad to know your pain lessened. I am also in hardly any pain outside my period. However I am on my period now and still in quite a lot of pain. I want to keep using it and eating right for the next month and see what happens. Then I'll request a scan in March. I will buy either wobenzym or nattokinase at the end of the month and add it too and I'll let you know how I get on. Wishing us both luck!!

Hello! Do know if I could have serrapeptase with the combined pill? Would it be compatible? I have an ovarian cyst and after checked with the Nutritionist we decided to give it a chance. Thanks a lot

Hi Strawberryice ,

From what I have read, I haven't seen anything that says you can't use serapeptase when on the pill. However, it is advisable to ask your doctor/healthcare professional before you use any medication. I know and have read that serapeptase is a moderate blood thinner so it is not advised to use it with fish oils, or blood thinners like warfarin.

But please and please, do your research and be sure before you use it.

All the best x
