Are there concerns about birth defects if a male who has been undergoing Rituxin treatments for over a year for non-Hodgkins lymphoma (choroidal lymphoma) wants to start a family?

As nobody has come forward with information on this, I would just say to err on the side of caution until you get some facts. I suppose you'd need to know how long the Rituxan stays in your system after treatment.

I found this on PubMed : "Prophylactic withdrawal of drugs before pregnancy is mandatory for abatacept, rituximab," a quote which refers to women who are taking Rituxan for rheumatoid arthritis and considering pregnancy, from this paper: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/185...

So definitely ask your treating physician.
