Quick question. My partner has just started Ibrutinib/Imbruvica, he's been on it for a week so far. Will this impact on our sex life? Do we need to take extra precautions? Condoms? Will his sex drive be diminished? I know that he will be anxious about this.

I wish the very best for your partner and you as well as he goes trhrough this trial.
I am not sure about the drugs he will be taking, but I do know when I was treated I was told that my husband would be exposed to the drugs during sex, so it would likely be wise to use a condom. I would ask his doctor to be certain.
No. I had the Bendamustine/Rituximab treatments, then was supposed to get 2 years of the Rituximab every 2-3 months for 2 years, but could not take it as my blood counts went to zero. Thanks be to God I am fine without it. That was in 2011, so I am praying for the best for your partner as well. I am just assuming that if the drug is strong enough too kill cancer cells, then you should protect yourself. Praying that it will do what it is supposed to do and he will be well in no time. Take care and stay positive.
