Congrats!!! Stay strong, listen to your Doctors, listen to your own body, keep moving and dont be afraid to admit when you might need help especially if its just to talk. It is very overwhelming and can be emotional at times.

I am going on 30 years post transplant. The prednisone is rough going. I have been fortunate enough to be off it for about 15 years now.

The weightvto me is the hardest with the prednisone. I was always on the heavy side to begin with and it was a struggle. The other drugs have their own side effects of their own and since im not sure what you are on..i cant say for sure. And i would almost bet they maybe different for men than women to an extent. I have been fortunate enough to be off all my immunosuppresents for about 4 years now. But that is a rarety or so i have been told.

Wow so you did have transplant ? I didn’t know a person could get off those drugs, so far the only side effects I’ve had are my skin is delicate a little nick or bump and I have a cut.being a diabetic doesn’t help that and my balance is a little bit off and I get very emotional over the smallest things thanks for listening hope we will talk again🙏😛

Yes it is possible with the right situation. Its not for everyone. Good luck and keep going strong.

Are you kidding? No prednisone? I have asked about decreasing my prednisone and or going off of it but my doctors said no way. I’m on a small dose of 5mg but still would like to discontinue.

Yes. I havent been on it since about 2003. But i guess you have to have dr willing to work with you and try. Im noton any other ones either and that has been 4-5 years.
