Can anyone tell me why matching a cadaver kidney takes hours but matching a Live Donor takes months? I just jumped through all the hoops to be eligible for a transplant and am being told a cadaver match may come through sooner than all the volunteers who have offered to donate. (I have been on the Inactive list for 4 years).
