Some people on here have mentioned being on the Voucher Program. What is that?

The National Kidney Registry (kidneyregistry.org), offers a package of protections for non-directed living kidney donors called Donor Shield, including a voucher program that would potentially offer a kidney for a friend or relative at a later date. Check their website for details. This does not apply to people who donate to a friend or family member or another specific person. And you have to donate through a transplant center that is enrolled with the National Kidney Registry. Hope you find what you're looking for!
