Delayed time getting your call answered

Anyone else on Nxstage having trouble getting through with a phone call, even while on treatment? I had an issue this am, got the "you're the next caller" and four minutes later, they answered. This was after I pressed the star key. Of course, by the time they answered, I had to abandon ship, leave my blood because everything was clotting. Swell.

B-Mommer, you and I have had this conversation a couple weeks ago, but this is one of the reasons I don't want to venture into home hemo. Not yet, anyhow. I guess I have some learning to do, but these kinds of circumstances make me leery.

In the meantime, I hope they get their act together for you. I know that I'd be raising all sorts of hell with whoever needs to hear it. There is no reason priority calls go unanswered for so long.

Being leery is a good thing. I went into this process with my head in the clouds. It would have made a large difference if I knew what I was getting into before I was "in IT". Every patient I have spoken to said it is the way it is, and it gets easier. Hopefully it will.
