Shrinken kidney size? Will it keep on shrinking or can it be hold ?

Diagonized with ckd stage 3b. Found in the couple of usg's done within.. few couple of months that my kidney size is shrinking.? Is there any way I can hold this shrinking?Kidney size on July 31 st '21 R :8.5 cm L :8.3 cm. Kindney size on September 4

R: 8.3 cm L : 8.1cm

That really doesn't seem like a lot. Might be the way you were laying on the table. But the only real thing you can do for yourself is to make sure you are reducing salt, eat plant based and keep your bp low, which only slows progression.

Hi, 2 yrs back.. I was admitted for dengue and in hospital and then also creatinine was 2.32 which is the same as now.. Thhe kidney size back then we're 10cm.. both

We are all different, and it depends on the type of CKD that you were diagnosed with. I have had a transplant but had been diagnosed with FSGS. For me, yes, my kidneys are shrinking. I had a CT scan back in April and the radiologist couldn't even find my R kidney, since it had shrunk so much.For you, if the doctor feels that your kidneys are getting smaller it's very important for you to do all you can to preserve your function. Stay hydrated, make sure your BP is under control, reduce salt and eat low protein/kidney healthy diet

3b here. I have a shrunken kidney too (right side). No one knows whether I always had it or whether it's because of the CKD. Of note is that I have a 60% blockage in the artery that goes into that kidney. (Calcium?) I am guessing that is what is causing the shrinkage.
