I'm kind of confused here.i was reading about a three year cutoff of coverage if transplant meds and something about legislation being pushed thru to extend coverage?does Medicaid and Medicare really cover the cost of a transplant or what's not covered in the brochure I got?

I had my transplant 20 years ago so a lot has changed since then.

You need to talk to a social worker regarding your questions about coverage of Medicare, etc. The transplant center is the place to ask these questions since they deal with this all of the time.

I was covered under my husband's insurance plan at the time of my transplant.

I know there is some proposed legislature that would extend coverage of immunosuppressant meds for kidney transplant recipients
