Hi! I have posted this before. My neuropathy (self-diagnosed because it is somewhat similar to what my father went through) started in my toes and gradually spread to below my knees over 15 years. It is /was accompanied my severe shooting pains in my legs. Two years ago I decided to give CBD a try and was very happy to find that, although the underlying numbness continued, the pains were alleviated after 2 weeks of taking hemp oil. In recent months the numbness and tingling has appeared also in my fingertips. As I say, I have described my experience before, but have not heard of anyone who has had the same response to CBD as myself. Having seen my father suffer both from the condition itself and from the side-effects of the drugs prescribed by traditional medicine I was elated to be relieved of those pains. Do let me know if it works for you. Geoff

Good morning, geoff1940 !

Thank you so much for your heartfelt reply !

I am unclear as to when my neuropathy started and i am also self-diagnosed. I remember feeling tingling in feet and mouth starting 30 years ago. I thought is was very strange and didnt talk about it hoping it would disappear one day.

It was very mild then. It has progressed very slowly and became excrutiating at night and spread to just about everywhere about four years ago when i had an oral infection and scaling and root planing at that time.

I have terrible burning in feet and calves during the day too. My face, lips, mouth tingles for years, some in arms and hands. Stabbing and shooting pains are rare now,but were daily years ago and somewhat recently. Ive tried so many things on my own which i read helps and dont find adequate relief, noticing no relief at all.

However, i tried CBD from hemp as well, no THC. After about a month the pain seemed to soften a bit and i also felt a euphoria. It made me very tired. I stopped, feeling i cant afford to take it at levels that help even though i was advised you can take less later as the beginning is considered the loading up stage.

I also found St. Johns Wort, (Hypericum Perf. 30x), very similar to CBD. It made me a little dizzy at first and the pain softened. It also gave me a sense of euphoria, same as CBD. I was afraid to continue because of unknown interactions it is known to carry with many various things. It also needs to be stopped sometimes and restarted. I stopped and restarted and felt absolutely no effect . So i stopped completely.

I recently discovered recent CBD studies are showing DNA damage and liver damage. A diagram showed a pair of DNA where the bottoms disappeared and looped together from the top cut off portions . Information in DNA lost!

Im afraid to go back on it now until.i see more studies to the contrary. I was even contemplating medical marijuana before reading the recent study.

It might take many years to show damage, if it even does. However, if someone already is in stages of various immune compromise, or disease, i would think twice.

I am going for a complete physical with labs early next year when i can get medicare and i will decide from there if i get a good report if i will try CBD again. I also feel weighing pros and cons is specific to the individual. If i can get 10-15 years of less pain and sucuumb to other disease because of CBD, i will take it into consideration. I might get another disease anyway at that time.

Time will tell and show the outcome of CBD and medical marijuana in the future. I feel it is wonderful for relief and it does many very good things as well for health.

Ive been on Palmitoylethanolamide for almost three months now . It only makes me very tired. It may have taken away a small backache. I was very hopeful because clinical studies showed great promise alleviating pain 30-50 percent and i was skeptical at the same time because of the low amounts of orders in the brands available as i realized there would be alot more people ordering it and reordering it if it does indeed work !

Therefore, i feel we must investigate and advocate for oneself as to what can do well for us, as studies cannot always be reliable . CBD can still be a choice . Needs more investigating and lots more studies, i feel. What are the long term effects of so many things on the market ...drugs and OTC ?

Take care.

Hope you have a pleasant day and less pain.

Thank you. I see seal oil is utilized. I hope live seals are being protected.

I didnt see testimonials yet by pn customers.

However, it does look promising from the little i read, study showing 30 percent nerve eye growth.

Thank you very much

And have a great day!

I have not heard back from you

Your question about live seal protection reflects media sensationalism

I work directly with past executives from the Humane Society that realize the dramatic negative effect of such propaganda on Inuit culture

We also work directly with Inuit community to utilize raw materials from local harvest - not commercial hunting

Unfortunately even with clinically proven results, this critical information is purposefully suppressed — as it interrupts status quo of the huge money generated by animal rights groups and big pharmaceutical interests

I challenge you to investigate real information— not seal oil propaganda

The huge majority of seal oil info is produced by companies using commercial seal oil - no research is done on their actual products — simply claiming it to be seal oil

The ONLY published peer reviewed articles on neuropathy is done on AUUM products NOT simply commercially available seal oil/ there is a big difference

I hope with all the energy you spend on this blog and membership, you will take the time and actually contact thesis company and not fall victim to media sensationalism or corporate maneuvers

Good morning,

Im sorry. I thought it was i who had last written. I did not see that you had responded to me after my reply after this long time. ...i had no email from you. I answer my emails.

From.what i recall from what i remember reading is that seals are used. I think you are more of an expert on this company. However, i do not like judging people..i appreciate facts and truths if we are lucky to find them in this world.

I am not going to go on and on searching info on this subject. I simply made a question and now feel condemned for it. Looking more to you for these answers as you introduced this, perhaps you would know.

I do not need to make excuses for how, how much and where i spend my time. If you can write this long defense, you can also find better time doing more investigating.. However, on the contrary, it concerns me not how you spend your time and telling you how to...that would be like bullying and i find no pleasure from it.

I thought we were all on here to show compassion and help AND TO BE KIND.

I feel i did not offend you personally on my original reply and appreciate same.

Thank you and thank you for your added insight into the subject of seals.

Hope you have a Happy New Year !

Hopinggh

(If you can find it in your heart to be as kind as possible on here, people who are suffering, suffer less)

I am asking you to kindly write to me no more as i need to tend to my health matters. Thank you very much.
