Hi all, I was born with Spina Bifida. I may be having cord detethering surgery soon as well as possibly having Chiari malformation decompression surgery at the same time or close to the same time. I could be having one surgery, or the other, or both. Has anyone else had this and if so, what was your recovery like? I know it’s different for everyone to a degree but I’m just wondering how long I could be off work, how much pain I’ll be in, how long the hospital stay could be, and how much help I’m going to need doing basic needs when I come home?
