The baby may have been sleepy - they do sleep quite a bit. I wouldn't worry too much - they can't see the difference between day and night and so can be sleepy during the day and awake during the night.
The heartbeat and growth markers are the best indication of a healthy baby at this time 
Mine lay perfectly still during the dating scan. The woman doing the scan tried in vain to get him to move by jiggling me a bit with the wand, because his arm was in front of his face--he was chilling out and would budge for no one. Now, at 37 weeks, a view of my belly is like a scene from Alien, so I wouldn't worry
Lol my last scan at 12 weeks the baby refused to move eventually it moved due to me jumping and wiggling my belly, then the baby moved quite alot I think in protest from being disturbed. On all of my scans the baby has moved a little and sometimes a lot. Don't think u need to worry, otherwise the hospital would have said something to u.
It can vary my first child didn't move much all the way.through and my 20 week scan she was in the fetal position and refused to move so they.could check the spine and kidneys and is now a happy and healthy 7 yr old. Whereas my 2 yr old never stopped.moving and is still.the same.
