Am I harming my baby with my uncontrollable temper?

Im really starting to worry about my moods. I'm 10 weeks now and everyone around me is saying I'm going to harm my baby if I carry on shouting and getting stressed. I'm afraid something will go wrong but my temper has got worse since I became pregnant. Can anyone relate and advise me on how to keep calm?

Everyone has some bizarre emotion fluctuations when they are pregnant - pretty sure that it won't harm your baby.

Honestly, try some simple things. Drink chamomile tea, take up a prenatal yoga or swimming class, go for a daily walk.

If your temper still seems unmanageable, there are loads of resources available to you. See your GP. The NCT site has a help line you can phone for advice. Speak to your midwife about your emotions. And that's just three options - I'm sure there are more.

It's important that you find some effective management techniques. Not only will this make your pregnancy more enjoyable, but it's also important to remember that hormones can cause emotion fluctuations to continue for some months after the baby arrives.

Best of luck

Are you sure you aren't over doing it, hence why you are getting stressed and angry. The hormones can make you so tired and ratty for no apparent reason. Try and rest and relax as much as you can and a quiet walk can really help your mood. Xx
