Is it ok to drink warm water from the tap in the UK?

Hello everyone

I am now in my third trimester and throughout the pregnancy, I drank lots of warm water from the tap whenever I had indigestion. I've just searched about it and I read that drinking warm water from the tap is not a good thing in pregnancy. I used to live in a university college and I had no idea what kind of plumbing they had. What are your experiences?

If you have a combi boiler at home then it’s perfectly safe to drink straight from the hot tap because the water comes from the mains and the boiler heats it as you need it. But if you have any type of hot water storage system then it’s not a good idea x

Thank you. I guess a college with 200 people would not have a tank, right? I have no idea what system they had.

Just read that the college has water cisterns and use boilers to warm up the water....🙁

I boil the kettle and let it cool down to a warm temp and drink that 😊
