The National Brain Appeal fundraises for The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), Queen Square, London.

NHNN is a specialist hospital diagnosing and treating patients who are living with neurological and neuromuscular conditions (brain, spine and nervous system) – that’s 10 million people in the UK (or one in six of us). Symptoms may appear from birth, emerge later in later life or be as a result of a head injury.

NHNN is one of the world’s leading centre’s for the treatment of conditions such as multiple sclerosis (MS), dementia, epilepsy, stroke, brain aneurysm, Parkinson’s disease, brain and spinal cancer and Prion – to name but a few.

Our role at the charity is to support the work of the hospital so that they can continue to lead the field in research, diagnosis, treatment and care.

We have set up this account to act as a forum for our supporter, friends, fundraisers and patients. If this is the first time you’ve heard of us – hello. Glad to make your acquaintance!

Unfortunately, we can’t answer medical questions or concerns ourselves but we hope you will help us to create a community space where experiences are shared and support is offered.

Theresa
