Hi guys I need help as to what people are using to control there pain

I was diagnosed in 2009 after an aortic dissection and doctors have not been able to get my pain under control, have tried numerous medication and nothing seems to work

In 2015 I had a high tibial Osteotomy on my right knee and six month later had to have it removed as it got infection and was left walking on a broken leg for a year until november 2016 they did a full knee replacement I’m only 46

So I’ve have suffered with severe pain since 2009 and as I have said tried loads of different meds’ right now I’m taking 60mg of zomorph twice a day along with paracetamol but not having any effect on my pain all it’s doing is making my skin itch like crazy so have to take anti hisamine but these too have little effect every night for the past few years I’ve been awake all night and don’t know what to do or try so please guys I’m needing some serious input here I cannot go on like this it’s doing me no good and having no sleep is killing me

I’m sorry to hear that you are having such a bad time, I can understand why you feel the way you do. What I use is the norm for fibromyalgia and Cfs. Amitriptyaline, fluoxetine, tramadol and paracetamol. Can’t use codeine as it makes me itchy. Pregabalin does help with the pain, but I have a weight issue with it, So don’t use it. Weight problem when I tried gabapentin. I am also looking into CBD oil as I have heard how it has helped some people with pain. It’s legal in uk, just now. I have also tried acupuncture, which unfortunately didn’t help. I also use a tens machine, various cooling and heating creams. Warm baths and lavender lotion (from lush) called sleepy. Hope you get your pain under control soon xx
