I got my wheelchair on Amazon, “featherweight” kind that is like 21lbs total, easy for my hubby to fold and lift in the car. I think it was like $500 ish, but I got it covered from my employer MRA (medical reimbursement account).

I'm very sorry your doctor gave you bad news, and in a less than compassionate way. It's great that you can finally stand! I hope that he's wrong (because sometimes they can be) and that whatever progression you may have, happens slowly. Hugs and prayers. 🙏

Even when very busy, I don't see the need to be so blunt. Wishing you the best.

Is your Dr. a Neurologist who may even specialize in MS? There may be a med that could slow things down a bit(?)

my husband got a feather weight wheelchair on Amazon that weighs about17 lbs. it was about $600. A Godsend though as all of my elderly friends can lift it too into their cars. Gives me a lot more freedom. Good luck to you

So sorry that you were told that way, but I think you should have had the MRI Before the doctor said Anything. Have the MRI and prove him wrong!!
