Any suggestions on how to work on getting my legs up on the bed? Sometimes it’s just not possible without help.

I have found if I sit as far as I can onto the bed, then with a scarf, hook it under my foot then swing it round onto the bed, the other one follows , if not do the same with it. I am not on Ocrevus but I am sure that the people who are will find your book interesting. Blessings Jimeka 😊

This is what I was going to say. A rolled pillow case can work too.

When i have trouble i use my cane by turning it upside down and hook the curved handle under my foot and pull.

Yes! My second book about MS, a fiction book, and working on getting a children’s book published, as well.

What are the titles and where can I get them? You can send me private message if you prefer not to publish info here. I found a book about 2 inches thick, published around year 2000 and it's surprising how much about our MS symptoms hasn't changed much at all.

So true about how much our MS symptoms are still the same. And speaking of MSAA, they gave me my stationary bike years ago that I still use today. However, due to trigeminal neuralgia pain, I have learned NOT to overdo it. Not worth the pain. I feel as though my body is telling me to take it easy.

I forgot to mention being on Oxcarpazepine plus not over exercising seems to be helping me stay far away from trigeminal neuralgia pain. I truly hope this continues thank God it’s been months since my last nerve attack. Okay

"Leg lifters"and creating momentum in a safe manor...Can buy them on Amazon.

I'm progressive MS with severe spasticity in my legs. Getting into bed is one of the most challenging things.

I just bought a $6,000 hospital type bed to make things easier. It makes all the difference too. Transfers with severe spasticity are the worse. I look at videos online of those doing transfers with like spinal cord injuries with no spasticity and their legs are just floppy. Make it look so easy lol!

Also, I'm 6'6". My last OT said that makes it as challenging as the spasticity does. I'm also in a $20k power wheelchair since I fell and broke my hip. I live alone since my wife left me and I'm determined to do so as long as I can.

An Occupational therapist should be able to help you troubleshoot issues like this. Their job is to help you stay independent as long as possible.

MS doctor can write a referral for that. In my area they even offer In home PT or OT.

Plus I notice if my back touches anything that’s on top of the sheet, such as the tv remote, then it stops my momentum and I will have to try again.

Yeah controlled momentum is everything when one doesn't have the strength....

Its hard for me to get in bed also. My husband was helping me until my physical therapist told him to stop so now I try to do it by myself. I try to sit as far back on the bed as I can than I try to lift my legs up with hands and turn into bed. I am completely tired when I finish.

Yeah it's tough not asking for help but so important.The next important thing is to rest especially if it's after a failed transfer. If you rest first you will have a better chance the next time. Probably a quarter of my transfers are just frustrating eff'ing failures. And that's ok...

Sometimes my husband will feel sorry for me. He will make a muscle and help me pull myself up and around to get in bed. My legs are crazy. 🦵🏽🦵🏽 Its hard.

have some one lower your bed ...if have legs maybe all they have to do is take them off....good luck ...love and happiness...

Did any one on ocrevus feel itchy? I felt itchy the night i got my infusion and then the fifth day after that i had to take benedryl.
