People around here like to continue to celebrate after the 4th.

Why,I don't know.

Henry's not freaked out or the cats but I have had a dog that was.He tried to climb onto my head.Worst 90lb hat ever.

my last dog made sure we were together the whole day. I had to lay on the floor with my arms around her

Oh 😒 that’s sad 😞. I am lucky that both my furbabies now are really good about it. We have the tv or radio on to muffle the noise. My close neighbor’s are retired so that’s good The one in the back of us does there’s in there front yard so the house blocks some of the noise πŸ‘. Ken 🐾🐾

I made sure we had fun it was like a slumber party. We had movies and snacks that she mainly took from before I could even taste it. She was my baby so I did what I had to do to make her comfortable.

A lot of people thought I had a daughter because of the way I would talked about her.

My youngest dog has major anxiety issues and has since she was a baby. On the 4th I will sit in the living room floor with the glass screen door closed so we can see outside. She lays in my lap shakes like crazy and is amazed at the fireworks in the sky. If I don't hold her and baby her like that she cries and freaks out all night. We don't let fireworks off because of her and Zoey but sometimes I think that my neighbors try to find the loudest fireworks they can. My living room door is the farthest away from them.

My cats cower and try to get comfort by sitting on my lap. They are also afraid of thunder. :-D

My Sadie wasn't afraid of loud noises until a couple of years ago when lightning struck across the street while we were on our front porch watching it rain, That did it for her, now she runs to my husband for safety cuz he babies her, which is actually the wrong thing to do cuz it only reinforces that behavior. we also had a big Doberman/lab mix that was terrified of thunder. Watching a 100lb do try to get under the bed is something else!

Not only our babies but think of veterans with PTSD! Bombs bursting in air has a literal meaning for them!

Cool, we are probably eight miles from the major fireworks display, so we hardly hear any πŸ‘πŸ™πŸ˜‰. Happy 4th. Ken 🐾🐾

Kitty doesn't like loud noises and will always run to me or the hubby when there's a loud noise. He awoke from a sound sleep this am when a street sweeper went by and ran to me..😻😻🐈
