I have considered starting a Facebook group so I can tell my story and how I feel each day and yes even on the good days. I was told this is a stupid idea that I should just join a facebook group instead. Any ideas on which would be better?

It’s not a stupid idea because you’ll get a chance to share your experiences with others. I’ve started a Facebook group called Autoimmune Support and Study Group. The goal of this group is to make everyone aware of all autoimmune illnesses since being diagnosed with MS we tend to have more than one. It’ll be a good tool to share our experiences and support one another too!

that is what I was thinking plus not everyone goes through the same thing. I think I just wanted it so that more people are aware of invisible diseases.

If you’d like to join my group you’re more than welcome to do so, and invite others to do the same. The more the merrier because we can all share information, and believe no more or less information can be any Greater. I believe we all need to know as much as possible.

There are FB groups related to MS, but you can make this unique and geared specifically to a particular focus. No matter what size response you get, you can do it for you.

I think that you should do what appeals to you.:)

It's not a stupid idea. Do what you feel comfortable with.

No idea is a stupid idea if it matters to YOU. I think telling your MS story is important and may help someone else in the process. I have hard time telling my story. I have been trying in bits and pieces. Some can write so eloquently but I struggle. So GOOD for YOU!

God bless Becky. Also I have never been on Facebook and don't have an account with it.

As said in previous responses, you should do what appeals to you. Depending on what you want to do (more writing or more pictures), open to all or not, you might want to consider other free tools. For example, Medium can be great if you're thinking more like a blog. As easy as Facebook.

mbrooks20 ...if you want to start a Facebook group, then do it! If you change your mind, you can always shut it down. You won’t know if it will work out for you until you try. Too many people have opinions about what we should and should not do. Even when their intentions are good, they aren’t us.

Not what you're looking for?
