Morllyn and ssdw1958 i believe it's "red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky at morning, sailors take warning."

Although I wonder how pollution affects those colors?

We have to ask WAshingtongirl hubby?

Not sure about pollution, but volcanic activity/ash in the air multiplies the colors in a sunset sky. Talk about breathtaking!

Hubby just got up. He said there's NO pollution out there (where he was). But in China, where pollution is BAD, he said the sun would just get dim like in a fog or hidden in the grey, cloudy sky.

From what I heard on a weather channel, years ago, pollution can cause the colors also, something to do with pollutants causing the light to reflect or refract and cause the colors. Do not quote me on that though.

Anyway WAshingtongirl ,I thought the colors were beautiful.

I went to Knoxville about 5 years ago. Tennessee is a beautiful state and I love Knoxville. I remember walking around motel (little park) in the morning and felt so "green" This picture makes me miss the beauty of green so much Morllyn ! It encouraged me and I now feel like I can keep being positive and finish today OK Thank you
