I've been bitten by something whilst gardening......any ideas?

Go see your GP, but try a wee drop of e.g. TCP in water or Savlon or similar antiseptic/disinfectant on it after washing.

I'm planning on a visit to the doctor's tomorrow. In the meantime I'm using lavender oil on it

Ah, lavender is my go to answer for almost any health condition, with or without tea tree in combination!
