I read up on keloids years ago as i though that i had them and if I remember rightly they can be treated surgically ie cut out but they can grow back bigger than before an alternative is laser therapy which is meant to be more effective.
Hi Wanderers69,
I don't have a problem with keloids myself, but here's some information on treatment.
1. NHS choices: Keloid scars and hypertrophic scars nhs.uk/Livewell/skin/Pages/...
2. BAD: Keloids: bad.org.uk/for-the-public/p...
3. DermNet NZ: Keloids and hypertrophic scars dermnetnz.org/dermal-infilt...
Hopefully, someone who's had problems with keloid scars can provide you with more information.

My daughter ws advised to use Bio-Oil to reduce scarring and redness of scars, even those that are years old. Regular firm massage/rubbing. It works very well, but be persistent.
