Confused about my condition

Hi I am 52, and suffering from severe bloating and discomfort after eating with diarrhoea like condition. My endoscopy is normal and the doctor says everything is ok. I'm worried however, what should I do?

Have you spoken to anyone at the Penny Brohn Centre? They are very supportive. Give it a try. In the meanwhile be aware your diet..... try not to worry it will cause you stress which in turn will add to your discomfort. Good luck.....keep in touch

Is the endoscopy the only investigation you've had?

If it is, you might want to press for other investigations, like a CA125 blood test.

Bloating can be a symptom of ovarian cancer, as well as other conditions.

I also agree that endoscopy is maybe not enough of an investigation especially if your diet hasn't changed and this is a new or developing symptom. Have you managed to get any further?

I agree with Mac27. See GP for a blood test to check your tumour markers CA125 an indicator for Ovarian cancer. Do not delay as I kept seeing my GP for 7 months with symptoms and then became so ill before the hospital found it was stage 3. Be assertive and keep pushing to see gynaecologist and ask for ct scan.
