Hi Cassie,

I have Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. My immune system is also not working properly and I have had a recent bacterial infection. I'm aware of all of the suggestions to take 1-3 Betaglucans, herbs, juicing etc to help the immune system. I have been doing all of these but I am unable to recover fully from this infection. Because of this I'm having an infusion of immunoglobulin's this week. I'm hoping that once I have these my system will be at a point where I can maintain it.

Has your husband's doctor looked at his immunoglobulin level's or suggested this as an option.

I am taking Immunovite Betaglucan's 1-3. and 2000mg of Vit C daily I'm also taking a very strong probiotic which is on prescription VSL3 2 x 460 billion sachet per day. You need this for a healthy gut.

I'm juicing organic vegetables.

I'm gargling with coconut oil, which is antibacterial and antiviral.

Herbs to use in cooking, tarragon, ginger, rosemary, thyme, nutmeg, turmeric.

I have attended courses at Penny Brohn and found them invaluable and I have had telephone consultations.

I'm doing further research into other supplements at the moment.

I've just re-read your post and realise that your husband is on chemo. When I was having mine I was scrupulous about my diet and what I ate. Have you had advice from the hospital about when your husband is neutropenic? and what diet to follow?

There is so much information out there to help you. Wishing you success in helping him through this time.

Hi Cassie,

NHL is classed as a blood cancer too. I was given injections in my stomach for 6 days after each session of chemo to raise my cell count and to help with the neutropenia.

Is he having these?

Also, as you realise, infections and bacteria are one of the biggest dangers when someone is neutropenic. I was not allowed to eat any peel on fruit, no pate, no soft cheese and a long list of other things.

Water had to be boiled and cooled before drinking, no tap water or bottled still water. Only bottled fizzy water as the carbonisation destroys bacteria.

I typed up a list for myself to help remind my family. If you like I can forward it to you.

Hi, who prescribed you the betaglutons and the probiotic sachets? Thx Annie

Hi,

The probiotic sachets were prescribed by a consultant and then my GP continues to provide the prescription. They are of a high level of bacteria, which I think you can purchase on line, but taking something like Yakult does not contain enough probiotics for a system that needs rebalancing, or after a course of antibiotics for example

The betaglucans 1-3, 1-6, were advised by a naturopath/nutritionist at Penny Brohn, although I had read about the benefits of these on the net.

Hope this helps,

Hella

I was on probiotics as well. Now don't need them, as the Wheat Grass Powder is proving to be my saviour!

Dear Hella, Well done on the juicing. To make the body alkaline one needs, Not cooked veggies, but raw. Some org nuts and quinoa, but you probably know all of this.

The Wheat Grass Powder and juice has cleared my IBS and all stomach pains and constipation! It is clearing the cancer as well!

I have found the Wheat Grass to be the Answer to all of my physical problems. It is also very good for the children and the dogs and cats!

Well done you, on your work! It sounds as if we have experienced similar probs.

Cassie. All subscribed medication makes the body more acidic. The acidity causes more disease. The body must be made alkaline. Drink gallons of Apple Cider Vinegar, daily, with even more water. This alkalises the body. Drink organic tons of Wheat Grass Powder daily in water. This will also alkalise the body! Most disease comes from too much acidity in the poor body. Now you must Cleanse.

xxxxxxxxxx Hugs and Blessings.

Please begin drinking 4 teaspoons of Org wheat grass powder twice daily, or more! Eat only Green veggies, no starch or sugars. Nuts are a must too. Not peanuts.
