Hiya, I am waiting on doctors and test results. I've lived with fibromyalgia for years but in the last year and a half I've had two patches of being really bad. First time it was more like extreme fatigue and full body pains but I'd get shooting pains and electric shock feelings that made my legs move. I'd had pains similar but this was way more intense and was just....different.I recovered from that but whenever I did work or a walk etc I knew I'd have the leg shooting thing. The next episode was at the beginning of June this year and it was far worse. I was in bed for weeks and needed a cane to get about. The pains were really bad and I got more twitches. The movements are involuntary and come in waves, I my main one is the torso and left leg pulling together. I also have face, fingers and feet jerks. I was also numb in my left hip down to my knee, that got progressively worse but is now just in the hip area and only after moving around like a short walk etc. My weaknesses are mostly in my left side and it's only been in the last week that I've felt like I'm coming out the other side. I still get the jerks and twitches and all my other fibro symptoms and the tiredness etc but I'm past the bedridden stage as long as I'm careful with my energy allowance haha.
My doctor is now considering ms and so my question is whether there is anyone else who started off with fibromyalgia and then got diagnosed with ms? Some information on line seems to suggest a link....what is your experience please?
Hope all of that makes sense haha.
Take care,
Kyla
